The Water Authority of Fiji is a corporate body established under the Water Authority of Fiji Act 2007 to make provision for the effective management and administration of the Water and the wastewater systems.
We are responsible for providing access to quality drinking water and wastewater services to over 159,000 and 33,540 residential and non-residential metered customers in the urban areas of Fiji and also setting up water supply systems in rural areas.
The Graduate Engineer contributes to the efficient, compliant, and reliable operation of water treatment plants and associated systems across WAF. The role is responsible for undertaking technical and operational duties including production planning, management of treatment chemical distribution across the regions, and coordination with the National Water Quality Laboratory to support water quality monitoring and compliance.
The position also contributes to the planning and implementation of asset management activities for treatment plants and laboratories, including maintenance planning, asset performance monitoring, and identification of renewal and upgrade requirements. The incumbent analyses operational performance and cost of water production to support efficiency improvements and informed decision-making.
In addition, the role works closely with the Regional Operations, Water Treatment and SCADA & Instrumentation teams to support automation initiatives, system optimisation, and major upgrade planning. The position reports to the Manager Water Quality & Treatment and supports the broader objective of delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable water supply services.
