The Water Authority of Fiji is a corporate body established under the Water Authority of Fiji Act 2007 to make provision for the effective management and administration of the Water and the wastewater systems.
We are responsible for providing access to quality drinking water and wastewater services to over 159,000 and 33,540 residential and non-residential metered customers in the urban areas of Fiji and also setting up water supply systems in rural areas.
The Supervisor Fleet Central/Eastern is responsible for supporting the Team Leader Fleet in the effective management, administration, and operational oversight of Water Authority of Fiji’s (WAF) fleet assets within the Central and Eastern regions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all fleet operations are conducted efficiently, safely, cost-effectively, and in compliance with WAF policies, procedures, and relevant legislative requirements. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the fleet, including vehicle allocation, utilization monitoring, maintenance scheduling, repairs, inspections, fuel management, plant hire inspection and driver compliance. The role also involves maintaining accurate fleet records, monitoring asset performance, and ensuring that all vehicles and equipment remain roadworthy, reliable, and available to support operational requirements. The Supervisor Fleet Central/Eastern is expected to oversee and guide drivers and fleet users, promote safe driving practices, investigate vehicle incidents, and ensure adherence to fleet policies and regulatory standards. The position contributes to the development and implementation of fleet management strategies aimed at improving efficiency, reducing operating costs, optimizing resource utilization, and maximizing the lifespan of fleet assets. Working closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and regional teams, the Supervisor Fleet Central/Eastern assists in identifying operational improvements, managing logistical challenges, minimizing vehicle downtime, and ensuring uninterrupted fleet support for WAF's service delivery objectives. Through proactive planning, monitoring, and coordination, the role helps maintain a high-performing fleet that supports the organization's operational and customer service commitments. This position reports directly to the Team Leader Fleet and acts as a key resource in the delivery of effective fleet management services across the Central and Eastern regions.
