The Water Authority of Fiji is a corporate body established under the Water Authority of Fiji Act 2007 to make provision for the effective management and administration of the Water and the wastewater systems.
We are responsible for providing access to quality drinking water and wastewater services to over 159,000 and 33,540 residential and non-residential metered customers in the urban areas of Fiji and also setting up water supply systems in rural areas.
The Technician (Electrical) is responsible for carrying out the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and associated control systems that support WAF's water supply and wastewater infrastructure. The role ensures the safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical assets, including pumps, generators, switchboards, motors and control panels, through the delivery of planned, preventative and corrective maintenance in compliance with WAF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS), statutory requirements and industry best practices. The position also contributes to emergency response, asset reliability, operational continuity and continuous service improvement to support the uninterrupted delivery of safe and sustainable water and wastewater services across Fiji.
