The Water Authority of Fiji is a corporate body established under the Water Authority of Fiji Act 2007 to make provision for the effective management and administration of the Water and the wastewater systems.
We are responsible for providing access to quality drinking water and wastewater services to over 159,000 and 33,540 residential and non-residential metered customers in the urban areas of Fiji and also setting up water supply systems in rural areas.
The Supervisor Project Implementation Unit (PIU) is responsible for delivering effective leadership to the NRW Unit to successfully deliver data collection and analysis for current and future water networks, leakage management, and reduction in NRW practices. This position reports to the Team Leader NRW Central Eastern and oversees the implementation of the below-listed projects:
Objective: Eliminate air pockets in the water network to enhance flow efficiency.
Key Activities: Identification of critical points, program installation of air release valves, and routine maintenance checks.
Objective: Create isolated sections within the water network for easier maintenance and leak detection.
Key Activities: Strategic placement of boundary valves, integration with existing network systems, and ongoing operational testing.
Objective: Upgrade and modernize service lines to improve water quality and reduce service interruptions.
Key Activities: Replacement of old pipes, upgrading of connections, and ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations.
